In Depth… The Final POST EVEEERRRRRRR!….well at least for this year :P (Post #8)
It’s amazing isn’t it? How fast time seems to pass by? I can’t believe that In Depth is almost at a close…. but anyway… So in Depth presentation… Well since my project is drawing and painting I will set up an art gallery of sorts. I will display all of my paintings, and all of my sketches! I will also have a section of my learning centre where I will put ’unfinished’ drawings on display; these drawings will show how to create the base, for example and animal drawing. I will also have a small section with some information that I have collected about renaissance, cave and medieval paintings. I will also do a write up about a visit, which I will be taking this coming weekend to the Vancouver Art Gallery.
Okay so just to go into a bit more detail about each section… In my painting section I will include all of my paintings, in order of date painted. In my drawing section I will include all of my paintings in order by type, animal, object, landscape, etc. Of course the unfinished drawings I have already attempted to describe, hopefully somebody will find them useful, for me when I first was shown an example of a ‘base’ drawing I thought that it was very interesting to see how you can get to an amazing finished project by starting with a few circles! In my section about some of the different types of paintings/drawings I will include short essays with information on renaissance, medieval and cave paintings. I will also include photo examples of each. Finally, my visit to the Vancouver Art Gallery. All I have to say is that I am defiantly excited about this cultural experience! It will also be interesting to go there after I have received all of this new information and understanding of art!
Also as a side note, as some of you know I am involved with theatre and our production of the Breakfast Club is coming up soon, and we need to start making a set. This involves painting flats which hopefully I will be apart of! This is super exciting because it is a way to use my new skills in a real life experience!
